eCard Issuance & Verification
American Heart Association (AHA) eCard Information
Upon successful completion of an American Heart Association course, students will receive an official AHA eCard issued through the American Heart Association MyCards system.
eCard Issuance Timeline
Most eCards are issued within 72 hours after successful completion of all required course components, including hands-on skills testing.
- In some cases, issuance may take up to a maximum of 20 calendar days, depending on course documentation review, instructor submission timelines, or required corrections
- eCards cannot be issued until all AHA requirements are met and course paperwork is complete and accurate.
How You Will Receive Your eCard
Once issued, you will receive an email notification directly from the American Heart Association with instructions to claim your eCard.
- You must use the email address you provided during course registration to access your card.
- AHA eCards are accessed, viewed, downloaded, and printed through the AHA MyCards system.
Important Student Responsibilities
Ensure your full legal name and email address are entered correctly at the time of class.
- Check your spam or junk folder for the AHA eCard email.
- Claim and save your eCard promptly once notified.
Verification & Replacement
AHA eCards are the only official proof of certification.
- Employers and licensing agencies can verify certification through the AHA MyCards system.
- Lost or deleted eCards can be re-accessed through MyCards using the original email address.
If You Have Not Received Your eCard
If more than 72 hours have passed and you have not received your eCard:
1. Verify that all course requirements were completed.
2. Check spam/junk email folders.
3. Confirm the email address used during registration.
4. Check the following eCard search for your eCard: https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards

Please note: Course fees are paid to the Training Site, not to the American Heart Association, and issuance of an eCard is contingent upon meeting all AHA course and
documentation requirements.
