AHA Certification
The American Heart Association does not certify or endorse any individuals, businesses, or organizations. The AHA develops educational materials and guidelines for programs including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Heartsaver. Use of AHA materials in an educational course does not represent sponsorship or endorsement by the American Heart Association. Course fees paid to MHEC do not represent income to the American Heart Association.
Courses by MHEC
All AHA courses offered by MHEC are taught in accordance with current AHA guidelines and the AHA Program Administration Manual (PAM) by instructors who are properly aligned with MHEC as an AHA Training Site. Successful completion of a course requires participation in all required components, including hands-on skills testing, and results in issuance of an official AHA eCard when applicable.
Liability
MHEC is not responsible or liable for actions taken by course participants outside the scope of AHA course content or beyond the limits of the training provided. Completion of an AHA course does not guarantee competency in all emergency situations, nor does it replace professional medical judgment or licensure requirements.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MHEC, its officers, employees, instructors, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of employment, licensure, income, or opportunity, arising from participation in any course or reliance on skills taught during training.
Course Fees
All course registrations and product purchases are non-refundable. Failure to attend a scheduled class or complete required course components may result in forfeiture of fees. Participants enrolled in online or blended learning courses are responsible for scheduling and completing required skills testing within the timeframe specified by the American Heart Association. Failure to do so may require re-enrollment at the participant’s expense.

Cancellation Policy
Michiana Healthcare Education Center reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances.
Students will be notified promptly and offered rescheduling options.
Refund Policy
Refund eligibility is determined based on cancellation timing and course scheduling. Please contact our office for refund requests.
